To “retreat yourself” is to intentionally step back from the intensity of everyday life, allowing space for rest, reflection and presence.

The location

The retreat takes place at Cara Creek Eco Lodge, a peaceful, off-grid eco-retreat nestled in a quiet river valley in central Portugal, where two rivers meet. Surrounded by forests, waterfalls and natural swimming spots near the foothills of Serra da Estrela, it offers a peaceful sanctuary to slow down, reconnect with nature and return to yourself.

The land itself becomes part of the experience. Outdoor yoga decks, forest clearings and riverside meditation spaces invite stillness, reflection and deep rest. The simplicity of off-grid living supports a gentle rhythm, helping you reconnect with the natural flow of life.

The lodge is located in Fiais da Beira in central Portugal, approximately a 2-2.5 hour drive from Lisbon or Porto airport.

Is this retreat for you?

Mornings start quietly and the day unfolds through gentle movement, time in nature and moments of stillness.

No performance. No need to be productive.
Just space to reset your nervous system and reconnect with your body, mind and attention.

If you’ve been craving time for yourself to slow down, reset and create space for new intentions, this retreat is for you. You’ll return home feeling nourished, grounded and inspired.

Your hosts

Hi, I’m Anouck — yoga teacher, holistic massage & nutrition therapist and the heart behind Alma Studio.

Creating spaces for women to slow down, reconnect and feel supported is at the heart of everything I do.

I would love to welcome you on this retreat.

Hi, my name is Paulien. I’m 28, a private chef and integrative nutrition therapist, with a heart for holistic living and female health.

I love the softer rhythms of life — the quiet beauty of nature, the nourishment of simple, wholesome food, and the gentle pause that allows the mind and body to breathe.

During this retreat, I’ll be with you in the calm of morning yoga, the wonder of nature walks, the joy of nourishing meals, and the inspiration of soft, mindful workshops. Together, we’ll slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and open to the present moment — to rest, to feel, and to simply be.
